For this reason, Dogan does not identify with any nation; he grew up without a sense of belonging. Having lost his emotions, feelings, and freedom early in life, he has never experienced the sense of attachment. This stance is more than a matter of identity—it is a conscious provocation against the boundaries and omissions humanity has created: “Why did we fail to see this truth?”
